My Hoola-Hoop Champ

We recently went to a school festival where they held a hoola-hoop contest for the kids. I talked Brittney into doing it and she WON! Listen closely to the announcer and watch her in action.

Becca loves to dance

If Becca hears a good beat, she starts dancin' and shakin'! We were at the zoo with some friends when some fun music came one. Thought ya'll might enjoy these videos:

Drive-In Movie!

A few weeks ago, we took the kids to a drive-in movie theater to see High School Musical 3 and Beverly Hills Chihuahua. What a blast! Before the movie started, the kids played on the playground. Here is a video of Becca & Brittney on the swings.

HOPE Fun Run

Brittney & Keldan participated in the H.O.P.E. Fun Run a few weeks ago. Brittney ran 1 mile and Keldan ran 1/4 mile. I was so very proud of them.

Halloween Pics

This year was a fun Halloween full of family traditions fulfilled.

1. Picking a pumpkin at a pumpkin patch. We always have to take lots of cute pictures with the pumpkins. Then Adam has to find the perfect one for his carving. We let each of the kids pick one this year too.
2. Dad carved a pumpkin. In fact, Brittney carved one this year too (a hippy, with PEACE glasses). Keldan drew Darth Vader with markers on his pumpkin. I helped Becca draw a butterfly on hers.
3. Trunk-or-Treat at church. Unfortunately, I was out of town last week and missed trunk-or-treat. Therefore, we have no pictures, which is probably a good thing since Adam had to do the girls hair and Keldan forgot his shoes!
3. Traditional costumes. Brittney was a beautiful witch with feather trimmings (mom let her put on some eye make-up too!). Keldan was a Storm Trooper (yes, he was Anacin last year and Darth Vader the year before). Becca wore a poodle skirt and was the cutest 50's girl ever!
4. Traditional dinner. Well, sort of. My mom always made a big pot of chili beans for dinner on Halloween. I had a craving for Taco Soup, so I figured that was close enough. Mmmmm!
5. Trick-or-Treating, of course. First we stopped by the neighborhood Halloween Ho-Down put on by a local church. Played some games, ate some food, jumped on the bounce house... Then off to Trick-or-Treating we went. Becca had so much fun. She had to run almost the whole time to keep up, but she loved it. Our house is in the middle of our neighborhood, so at the half-way point, we stopped to empty the loot and then continued with the other half of the houses. Holy Cow, we came home with A LOT of candy!!
6. An new tradition: Mini Carameled Apples. I had a blast making these! We gave some out to neighbors and ate them up so fast that I didn't get a good picture of the best looking batch.

Enjoy the pictures!!!
